There's not really anything that I can add about tonight's game.
Because the final score, which doesn't flatter Staveley in the slightest, already says it all.
If Ryan Bates had kept his shot down and on target, if James Whitfield had been a bit luckier in front of goal and if Staveley had turned the screw as much in the first half as much as they did in the second ... then tonight's result could have been really humiliating for the visitors.
With all due respect to several good friends I have at a number of other NMU19L clubs, I honestly believe, that I have seen this seasons league champions in action tonight.
And, for the record, I don't mean Southwell City, in case you were wondering.
But the season is far from over yet, so feel free to prove me wrong ;-)
