Chris Waddle has accepted an invitation to play for Worksop Parramore in a benefit match on Thursday 29th November 7:45pm against Sheffield FC.
Monies raised will principally benefit ex-Retford United, Scarborough, Matlock Town and Worksop Town player Lee Whittington, who was badly injured, while playing for Worksop Parramore, in a recent match at Sandy Lane.
Others pulling on a Worksop Parramore shirt will be former Mansfield Town and Rotherham United player & Ex-Worksop Town & current Buxton FC manager, Martin Macintosh and the 'Parras' manager, Darren Bland.
Other celebrities have been invited and there will be several items including signed shirts to raffle/auction.
The freak injury has left Lee with a fractured cheekbone and eye socket, which required an operation to insert two supporting plates.
For Sheffield FC, current manager, Blades boxing legend and ex-Mansfield Town player, Curtis Woodhouse, will play and Lincoln City manager, David Holdsworth will also be making an appearance on the pitch.
The bar will be open (from 6pm) and the snack cabin will be serving food and beverages.
