Frickley John - Rest in Peace

I was deeply saddened today, to receive a phone call from John Longbottom, a stalwart Frickley Athletic supporter, telling me that our mutual good friend John Uttley, has passed away following a heart attack.
'Frickley John' is well known to many, many people around the local football circuit (and further afield too).
His travelling lifestyle, that saw him virtually living in his camper van (which is adorned with Frickley Athletic, Sheffield United and England badges) was the stuff of legend ... most of which couldn't possibly be repeated on a family orientated blog.
He lived his life to the full and it was always a joy to be in his company.
You're going to be sorely missed big man, by myself, my family and by many, many other people in our mutual circle of friends.
On Tuesday night, prior to the Frickley Athletic v AFC Fylde game, the Blues will be holding a minutes silence in John's memory.
It's going to seem weird pulling into the Westfield Lane car park and not seeing that 'big bus' parked in it's usual place and not being greeted by John's cheery face and "I've saved you a cushion" greeting up at the back of the stand.
REST IN PEACE FRICKLEY JOHN
It's been a honour to have called you a friend.
