Matt Harris' opening goal at Forest Town this afternoon

To avoid a colour clash, the Blues played in orange today, but their keeper played in all yellow.
The Forest Town pitch had thawed out nicely on a 'spring like' summer day ... well, at least it looked spring like, it was still damn cold outdoors today.
The young Stags started brightly and had City on the back foot, but the visitors were strong in defence and held tight until the 34th minute, when Matt Harris got on the end of a Jason Gregory shot and knocked the ball home from inside the 6 yard box.
Matt Harris heads home his and Mansfield Town's second goal

Within a minute Joe Flint put a cross over into the Birmingham goal area and Harris was on hand again to put a looping header just underneath the crossbar to make the score 2-0.
In the second half, Matt Harris completed his hat trick on 54 minutes.
Adam Somes unselfishly fed the ball into Matt's path with a cheeky back heel and from just inside the box Harris lobbed the Blues keeper, he frantically scrambled back a few feet and got a hand to the ball trying to push it over the bar, but only managed to help it on it's way into the roof of the net.
In the 83rd minute, City got a goal back, Wade dribbled into the area and beat Ryan Hopkins from 12 yards out, but other than that, they barely troubled the Stags today, who put in another solid performance to maintain top spot in the Conference Youth Alliance, North Division.
