A decent sized crowd of 124 turned out at Canarvon Street to see a tightly contested game.
Though most of their team had played for the reserves or in tournament games, this was actually the first outing together for the 'Tevie Boys' as an Under 19's side.
Mansfield's Joe Flint scored the only goal of the first half, knocking the ball home from close range, after getting onto the end of a cross along the six yard box.
The young Stags scored two more in the second half, through Kurtis Shaw and Danny Barke, both from similar passes across the Teversal area as the one Flint had scored on the first half.
Ironically, the lads who scored the first and third goals were both on the books at Teversal when they were younger.
Next up: CMFL North, Harworth Colliery Institute v Sherwood Colliery at Scrooby Road, Bircotes, DN11 8JT.
Not Scooby Road as it says on the Central Midlands Mitoo site.
