Shapely and attractive

Rushden Anne Diamonds came into existence when football teams from Rushden and nearby Irthlingborough merged with a shapely and attractive young TV presenter called Anne Diamond. Success followed success and backed by Max Griggs, controller of the Dr Marten's boots empire, they scaled the dizzy heights of the third level of the Football League pyramid, AKA the same division that is currently called Npower League 1 (Division 3 for older readers and traditionalists), but these days find themselves sauntering around harmlessly in mid table in the Blue Square Bet Premier (still almost universally called 'the Conference') - exactly the same as Mansfield Town.
These days Anne Diamond looks ever so slightly different ... there but for the grace of God, eh!?
