Apparently this was my last chance to visit the Church Road ground, which will be gone forever, engulfed by a rapidly advancing housing estate, any time soon.
That's a shame really, in my humble opinion, it's a smashing old fashioned ground, with bags of character.
Church Road - Hayes and Yeading are moving out later this month

After this inept, nee pitiful away performance from the Stags, their (interim appointment only) manager Duncan Russell said there were plus points and positives to be drawn from today's game.
Hmm, let's think:
The weather was nice and the home side only scored four times, well thrice plus an own goal if you want to nit pick.
The cheese and onion cobs in the supporters bar were very nice.
The SSA coach was a bargain and ... err, nope, I'm stumped to think of anything else positive or plus-worthy to say about the Stags today.
Well played United, a thoroughly deserved win.
Nothing else to add!
The Stags keeper David Grof pretends to be a photographer whilst the home
side pile onto each other to celebrate going 3-0 ahead on 25 minutes
