Retford United FC update

Of course, Retford Town aren't the only club in town to be chasing a cup double this season while sitting high in their league ... and don't I bloody well know it living where I do!?
Retford United and myself share the same postcode :-O

Retford United play Boston United at Lincoln United's ground on Wednesday 21st April in the UniBond League Challenge Cup Final.
Kick off is at 7.45PM, Admission £10 Adult, £5 OAP, Under 16's £2.
I won't be there because Worksop Town are playing against Burscough that night in a vital UniBond League fixture, but I hope those of you who do make the trip to Ashby Avenue have as much fun as you did at the Notts Senior Cup final at Meadow Lane next season.

Talking of the Notts Senior Cup, Retford United face Dunkirk in the semi final at Cannon Park on Tuesday 30th March, in a game they must be strong favourites to win.
Whoever navigates that semi successfully, will face the winners of the other remaining tie between Eastwood Town and Forest Town.
Which of course could lead to there being a repeat of last years 'epic' final between the Badgers and the Badgers, which I had the pleasure of witnessing in person ...

I do wish Worksop Town would switch from the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA to the Nottinghamshire FA, their cup competition is far more interesting and the S&HFA think it's OK to stab one of their member clubs in the back, namely Worksop Town, by playing representative matches at Sandy Lane in Worksop ... and I don't!!!

Good luck to both Retford sides in their quest for a cup double.
It's Worksop Town's turn next year ;-)
