Retford Town FC update

Congratulations to Retford Town FC of the Doncaster Senior League, on beating Bawtry Town 3-1 on yesterday to reach the final of the Dawson & Burgess Premier Division KO Cup.

Retford Town have also reached the final of the Nottinghamshire Intermediate Cup by virtue of beating Attenborough of the Nottinghamshire Senior League on March 6th in the semi final, the score was 4-3 after extra time.
They will face Gedling Southbank in the final.

A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
The Nottinghamshire Intermediate Cup Final will be played at Kirklington Road, the home of Rainworth Miners Welfare on 20th April 2010.
If you're driving to Rainworth from Retford, set your sat nav to NG21 0JY, or take the A614 southbound from Ollerton roundabout, at the White Post Farm roundabout turn right onto the A617 and frankly, if you can't find the ground from there, you shouldn't be driving in the first place anyway.

The current top six in the Doncaster Senior League may well change after a couple of teams have caught up with a few outstanding fixtures fixtures, but at the time of writing, the league standings read thus:
Swinton Station Athletic Pld 23 Pts 46
Edlington Town Pld 17 Pts 36
Hemsworth Alpha A Pld 20 Pts 36
Rossington Main Pld 21 Pts 36
Mexborough Pocket Pld 18 Pts 34
Retford Town Pld 16 Pts 33

Next Retford Town fixtures are:
Saturday 27th March, DSL, Home v Doncaster Deaf. POSTPONED due to Doncaster playing in the Semi Final of the British Deaf Cup v. St John's Arsenal on the 27th (Donny Deaf beat Lanarkshire 9-1 in the Quarter Final).
Saturday 3rd April, DSL, Home v Hemsworth Alpha A
Admission at the Bolham Sports Ground is free and Retford Town issue a very smart programme that costs just £1.
