A high octane and super-charged, white knuckle, thrill a minute escape pod ride, to a murky and uninhabited corner beyond the limiting and debilitating parameters of accepted straitjacketed vicarious convention - AKA, just another self indulgent, bullshit blog, with added football content. This blog is not affiliated to any football club in any official capacity whatsoever, 'tis merely the words and opinions of the author ... and me alone.
Note* Some of the pictures further down this sidebar, double up as click-on links that take you directly to other sites, music, subversive material and enlightenment, others don't, they're purely for decorative purposes. Isn't technology bloody brilliant!?

1974-1978 World Cup Finals. I was very young. I thought Johan was a girls name and didn't understand the Johnny Rep is a Durex salesman joke. But I did know that in spite of results saying otherwise, Holland WERE the best team in the world and Archie Gemmill's goal against them was bloody brilliant too. Cruyff retired (the first time) at 31 years old just before the 1978 finals. Holland lost in both the 1974 World Cup Final to West Germany and 1978 World Cup Final to Argentina (both host nations).
Ian Cognito isn't my real name ... it's a pseudonym. My previous alias Wing Commander Roy Grant was the leader of the 633 Squadron, I never was.
I'm actually called Rob.
